Delaware Student Excellence Equals Degree (SEED) Program. Maintain a 2.5 GPA and you can earn a two-year SEED Scholarship.

Message from the Governor

Governor Ruth Ann Minner speaking about SEED.

Thank you for your interest in the SEED program. This is one of the most important accomplishments of my career in public service, and it is a reality for today's students because of the dedication and hard work of many people. Senator Harris McDowell and Representative Nancy Wagner have been exceptional advocates for this program, and I thank them for their continued work on behalf of Delaware's students.

The Student Excellence Equals Degree program puts college within every student's reach. By working hard to maintain a 2.5 grade point average and staying out of trouble, every student has the chance to go on to college and earn their associate's degree tuition free. It is my firm belief that financial circumstance should never stop a student from pursuing a college degree. Thanks to SEED scholarships, that is no longer a problem here in Delaware. I want to encourage every student in Delaware to work hard, stay focused on school and know that college is within reach through a SEED scholarship.
